Access to City Meetings
Scheduled meetings of the West Sacramento City Council are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month with exceptions for holidays and other events. Meetings usually begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held at:

All City Council meetings are open to the general public, except closed sessions. Agendas are available on the Friday immediately preceding the Wednesday Council meetings. Meetings are broadcast live via Astound Cable channel 20 and AT&T channel 99 and on the City's YouTube channel (closed captioned). Assistive listening devices are available at all meetings, and meeting materials can be provided in alternate formats upon prior request.
All City Board and Commission meetings are also open to the general public, except closed sessions. Agendas for regular meeting are posted 72 hours in advance of the meeting and agendas for special meetings are posted 24 hours in advance. Meetings are broadcast live via Astound Cable channel 20 and AT&T channel 99 and on the City's YouTube channel (closed captioned). Assistive listening devices are available at all meetings, and meeting materials can be provided in alternate formats upon prior request.
Access to Public Records
The City Clerk is the custodian of public records for the City of West Sacramento. In accordance with the California Public Records Act (CPRA), Government Code §6250 et. seq., the City provides access to public records, except those exempt from disclosure by law.

Receipt Of Legal Service and Appeals
The Office of the City Clerk receives service of legal filings (subpoenas, Pitchess motions, etc.). Appeals of decisions made by City staff, the Planning Commission, or the Hearing Officer may be appealed by filing an Appeal form with the Office of the City Clerk within 15 days of receipt of the notice or citation. The Appeal Fee is due at the time of filing. Please contact the City Clerk's office with any questions. Claims against the City are filed with the City Manager's Office.

Coordination Of City Elections and Vacancy Recruitments
The City Clerk is the elections official for the City of West Sacramento. Information regarding the next scheduled election, candidate qualifications, and campaign filing obligations is available on our Election Information page.
